The album cover redesign consisted of a full new design for the front and back of the album, along with digital mockups for Spotify. Choosing the album Just What You Want by The Grogans, which is a small Australian surf rock band. The grogans have a vintage tone and feel to their music and how they market it, influencing my choice of collage, polaroids, and corkboard to start the design. Going back to their surf roots is when I added the surf boards wrapping from front to back and the background wave image. Choosing a script font for the album name felt appropriate, being on the polaroids, and then didn’t take away too much of the hierarchy given to their name on the surfboard with a bolder modern typeface.
